The Radavist

This bike, or this Camera. I’ve been using the hell out of both as of late and while there’s not enough medium format content to make it an official Recent Roll post, there have been some gems coming out of this lens. The biggest challenge has been using this Distagon T* 50mm with its dual focusing rings. That and general exposure. Shooting with a Hasselblad has really changed the way I look at film photography. I don’t see myself picking up my AE-1 for a while.

One of the acquisitions we made while in LA was this Tracko x Archive Tote. Being from Phoenix, Lauren absolutely loves Native American prints and the Pendleton wool panel is the perfect accent for this limited edition tote. It matches her Tokyo Fixed porteur perfectly, doesn’t it?

The 2012 Melburn Roobaix is coming and like a great event organizer, Andy’s doing all he can to promote this event. All I’m going to say is, if you can make it, DO. Lauren had a blast last year and I’m sure you will too. Don’t be intimidated by Nic’s legs here. She’s not going to be able to attend this year… So you’ll still have a chance at winning the group ride.

Having just let go of my beauty last year (my Stuttgart Pista, not a girl), I know how hard it is to say goodbye. Andy’s had to make that decision recently, forcing him to sell his beautiful MX-Leader track bike. Like my Stuttgart, his MXL represented his brand and his shop, FYXO Hub. But that doesn’t mean when you sell it, you can’t take it out for one last photo shoot. And like a good friend, he sent these my way!

I had a Sunday Model C for a minute and the whole time I was riding it around, everyone joked “Is that the new FGFS frame?”, my response was “no way, the wheels are too small”… Granted, I’m 6’2” and @thefix_bitch is probably just around 5’4″ but I still think this is fucking rad. If someone doesn’t make a frame that’s perfect for you, improvise. Shouts to TTv for putting this up!

Man, there’s a lotta kit and jersey action on the site as of late. Why stop there? The Golden Saddle Cyclery kits were a huge success this time around. The guys even took Endo up on their women’s shorts, modeled here by Jen. Kyle took some more photos of these over at his Flickr. Head over and check them out.
