Women’s apparel is often overlooked by companies, which is why it’s nice to see Kitsbow with a nod to the ladies. Introducing the new Kitsbow Women’s Base Shorts. Designed for women, with a female-specific chamois and a refined fit. I love the men’s version, so I imagine these are a suitable option for women as well.

Tenspeed Hero’s Gift Guide
At this point, Tenspeed Hero’s promotional photos have become some of my favorite cycling pictures. Even when it’s to promote a holiday gift guide, they take the extra effort to pull together some fantastic images. Don’t miss the Tenspeed Hero Holiday Gift Guide. If anything, just for the photos!

A Muddy Weekend in the ‘Cross Trenches
You’ll have to excuse the excess in this photo gallery. There are a lot of shots in here.
Now that I stated the obvious, here’s even more… In Texas, we don’t get much rain, nor do we get many rainy cross races. So when the sky opens and the mud builds up, don’t be surprised to see file tread tires and Red cassettes in the staging areas.
Like house cats, having escaped for the weekend, a lot of people got quite the shock when every corner was suddenly slick and every descent, a myriad of dark brown ruts, with no grass to grip for traction.
Saturday’s race has been called the best of the season. A lotta climbing, as much descending. All in glorious mud. As the afternoon went on, it got worse and by the time the B’s raced – which is what I was in – it was pouring on us. Things didn’t go so well and I didn’t shoot many photos of Saturday’s race, but Sunday. Sunday was a blast.
New course, still just as muddy, with a run up that some of us rode and yes, plenty of pain…
Read along in the captions and enjoy the Gallery!

Good Luck Racing this Weekend!
Jeff has been shooting a ton of cross races this year and posting them up on Bike Jerks (yes, I pay attention to you, Jeff!) and this one photo struck me as such a rad ‘cross photo. Handups are not a crime!
I hope everyone has a blast racing this weekend.

CX Hairs: LIKEAVOS 2.1
God, I’d love to race on courses like this!!
“The first World Cup Cyclocross race also meant the first time this year the pro women were broadcast, and that means we can finally premiere the first episode of LIKEAVOS, season two. The World Cup opener took place at Valkenburg in the Netherlands. The course is a brutal one. As you’ll see it rides more like a mountainbike race than a cyclocross race, with many elevation changes and off-camber sections. For this episode we concentrate on a tricky off-camber section, the run-up and descending skills. We also watch Katie Compton deal with adversity and Helen Wyman show great form.”
CX Hairs is killing it.

Tenspeed Hero’s New Skinsuit
Racing in a skinsuit is the best, except for all the exhalation photos that get posted on your Facebook. You know, the photo where it looks like you’ve got a giant beer gut? So, if you’re going to race in a skinsuit, why not at least race in one that looks good? Black is very slimming, don’t ya know.
Not guaranteed to bring about “thigh gap” in men and women, but at least guaranteed to look good.
In stock now, along with many other things at Tenspeed Hero.
