I love Euro track bikes and FYXO’s photography, but most importantly, I appreciate his anecdotal approach to giving a background to his photoshoot. Check out more from this raconteur at FYXO!

I’m still going through all the madness from Los Angeles. This one in particular came as a last minute surprise. Luka’s Cannondale track. Pristine condition. He even has the original wheels at home. As always, more on this to come!
It’s kind of nice living two miles from Icarus Frames‘ shop in South Austin. When Ian gets in a frame from paint, I can just cruise on over and shoot a few photos. When he gets a frame in like this singlespeed road however, I spend a little more time documenting it.
This is a custom bicycle. It’s a NAHBS-worthy bike, although Ian has never shown at NAHBS. The detailing is above and beyond your average frame. Everything is shaped, carved and sculpted to perfection. Stainless rear, stainless lugs, internal routing, polished everything, immaculate shorelines, covered by a wild wet paint job, courtesy of Fresh Frame.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen something so dialed come out of Ian’s shop and to think, his queue has a quick turnaround. I just wish I could have photographed the complete bike!
Check out more insane details in the Gallery.

Speaking of night riding, last year, Brian Vernor linked up with Cooper Ray to shoot some photos for BELL and this was a left-over photo. Check out more at Brian Vernor’s Making Blog!
Cheetah, the documentary on Nelson Vails, is having a world premiere in NYC this Saturday. Pick up tickets here. See the Pennsylvania premiere flier below.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a fixed gear distance ride video with such a high production value. It looks amazing! There’s more on this project to come!
Ace shot some incredible photos of Alonso for Leader Bikes on his new Equinox track bike. Zoe’s a strong rider and has such great style and Ace did a great job capturing it. See more photos here!
When someone says the following words, in any order, I get chills: bike, China, race. Especially in Beijing! Big Dirty threw a rather intense race earlier this year: Tianjin to Beijing, 130km in 35C weather. Count. Me. Out!
Matt Lingo switched over to video for this new Leader project and I like it. Mount Laguna looks like a lot of fun, especially on a track bike!
I’m usually pretty good at keeping my film in check. Especially on my Mamiya 7ii. It literally costs me $2 every time that shutter button is pressed. So you can imagine my regret when I went to load a new roll of film after shooting some photos at Standridge Speed, to find my camera was loaded with Kodak TMAX 400 black and white.
I had just photographed one of the raddest bikes, with the brightest and most elaborate paint jobs, in black and white film, yet it still does Death Spray Custom some justice. To top it off, I left all my extra film at home, so I couldn’t shoot more.
For a full color Gallery, shot digitally, head over to last year’s Beautiful Bicycle post.
Mash is now offering up pre-orders on their newest collaboration with Cinelli: the Parallax. Head over to Mash for details on ordering!
What do I even say about the work of Death Spray Custom? Never heard of it? You should head over to David’s new site, where the pictures do plenty of talking. Wow dude… such a comprehensive catalog of work!

Wow. Just wow. I have nothing else to say… Chris Bishop once again delivers an exceptionally-classic and tasteful track bike. Brian is one lucky dude. Check out more photos at the Bishop Flickr!
Speaking of rad stems! Anthony at Velo Cult has been spending a lot of time documenting the work of Winter Bicycles. This track bike is probably my favorite Winter build of all time. Head over to Velo Cult to see more great photos!
This might just be the best Mash video yet. The Wolvh is in SF.
March 13th – 16th brings Monster Track to NYC for the 15th year. See all the information at the event’s Facebook page. Greg Ulgalde killed it again!
Yet another Milliman for Stoemper, featuring Guy East in Rotterdam!
