I will not OD from OD. Search and State’s new long sleeve merino jerseys are here in time for winter rides. Merino makes for an incredibly versatile material. You can wear it for multiple rides without having to wash it, it’ll dry fast in a rain shower and if properly cared for, will last for years. These jerseys are made in New York City and come in three colors. You already know which one I favor, though! Head to Search and State to check them out.

Search and State: S2R Performance Bib Short
I’ll still stand by my earlier claims that the Search and State S2R is the most comfortable pair of bibs I’ve ever worn. Now, for those of you who want something a little lighter in color for the summer months, they’ve just released them in grey. Expect the same fit and comfort as the black bibs, in a lighter tone. In stock now at Search and State.

Search and Sachs Collection
Richard Sachs is one of the most unique frame builders of all time. His approach to everything from frame design to branding has withstood time in terms of relevance and his opinions of the cycling industry are always worth the read, ATMO. Being a maker, he is drawn to other makers inside this little world we’ve carved a niche in, resulting in a collaboration with New York’s Search and State. Available now are three items: a jersey and two t-shirts, both complete with SAS / Sachs branding.

Search and State’s New Long Sleeve Merino Jersey
Merino shirts and jerseys make for the best cycling apparel in my opinion and these new Search and State long sleeve jerseys look exceptional. They’re made from a merino blend of sustainable and humanely sourced wool woven with recycled poly fibers to increase its durability. This also ensures a super soft hand. Like all SAS gear, they’re also made in New York! The retail is set at $180 and is in stock now at Search and State.

Search and State: S2-R Performance Bib Shorts
Search and State’s S1-S riding bib shorts are still some of my favorite bibs. With a few tweaks, their newest piece of apparel will not disappoint. The S2-R performance bib is cut from the same fabric as the S1-S riding bib, but with a new, still comfortable chamois, longer shoulder straps, a reshaped mid section and an improved leg elastic pattern. The S2-R bib is still made in New York City and is in stock now at Search and State.

Search and State: S3-Base Merino Base Layer Henley
It’s that time of year. Time for lots of layers, specifically merino layers for on and off the bike. A piece of apparel like a merino henley will go the distance, offering you warmth and wicking whether you’re on a road ride or camping, base layers are one of the most versatile pieces in anyone’s clothing kit during these winter months.
In their pursuit of making the finest cycling apparel in the USA, Search and State has expanded their tech and lycra lineup to include a few choice merino options. The latest being this S3-Base merino base layer henley. $95, made in NYC and yes, it comes in black. See more at Search and State.

Search and State: Hooded Riding Sweatshirt
Far from the first “riding hoodie,” but one of the nicest looking ones in recent memory, the Search and State Hooded Riding Sweatshirt utilizes a sleek material with simple detailing to make it a great on or off the bike jacket. It’s constructed from ultra-durable Japanese french terry, with locking Riri zippers to a full size front pouch-pocket, internal routing for electronics and uses multiple panels for an ergonomic fit.
These are slim-fitting, like all SAS gear, so if you prefer a looser fit, size up.

Search and State: New S1-KW Knee Warmers
To this day, the Search and State arm warmers are my absolute favorite and when I saw these new S1-KW knee warmers, I knew I’d found a new staple in my autumn attire. If you’ve used the arm warmers, then you know how soft and durable they are. These are made from the same material, using the same detailing. Made in NYC and in stock now at Search and State for $65.

Search and State: The Search Statement
This is a great idea from our friends at Search and State:
“A Search Statement is a proposal for something you want to do. It can be anything, but should involve cycling in some way. It would be great if your idea has a positive impact on others, but it doesn’t necessarily have to. Perhaps you want to ride farther, longer, or somewhere no one has before. Maybe you want to build a cycling community where one doesn’t exist. Perhaps you want to create a photo exhibition, an art installation, a cycling movement, a safety device, an innovative type of bicycle, or a new way to ride one. We’re open. Try us. What’s most important is why it matters to you.”
Take some time and submit your Statement at Search and State!
