Wow. Cinelli collaborates with a lot of affluent or well-known artists but I’m always drawn to their support of up and coming talent. Ana Benaroya‘s work is phenomenal. See more at her Tumblr!

All-City Cycles: Made in the USA Pursuit Special Chainrings
It’s great to see a company like All-City bring some production back to the good ol’ US of A. Introducing their Pursuit Special track rings:
“These beauties are cnc’d in the USA and utilize a proprietary tooth profile for smooth and quiet operation. The 49-52’s utilize a solid body design with reliefs in the back for weight savings, while the 46-48’s have full cutouts.
In sticking with the theme of our aluminum track bike, the Thunderdome, we named them after Mad Max’s car, the Pursuit Special.”
Head to your local All-City dealer to order.

Merckx Mondays: Scotty’s Eddy Merckx SLX Pista
This is not for the vintage elite, the collectors, the Eroicas, the spoke sniffers, or the internet aesthetes. Do not bother commenting on the lack of period correct toe clips, or the lack of bar tape, or how you don’t like white tires. The bar angle will rub you the wrong way and Scotty will ride on, not giving two shits.
Scotty’s a working messenger in Los Angeles. Scotty’s older than dirt. He walks with a stride, or a cadence that is only found in individuals who live, breathe and sleep track bikes. You won’t see Scotty on a road bike and in fact, you won’t see him on any other bike than this street-thrashed Eddy Merckx SLX pista. The components tell a story, moreso than any museum-grade bicycle will, regardless of heritage.
Like beausage? This bike is for you. Just remember, before you type a critique, Scotty don’t care. Happy Merckx Mondays. Thanks to Tracko for the heads up on this bike!

the 2015 Red Hook Crit Brooklyn – Chris Lee and Chris Dilts
the 2015 Red Hook Crit Brooklyn
Photos and words by Chris Lee and Chris Dilts.
This past weekend, racers and spectators gathered for the eighth annual Red Hook Crit. Unlike previous years, this last Saturday provided far more sun and warmth, although racers had to fight against considerable gusts of wind all day.
2015 brought the most diverse field of racers in the history of the Red Hook Crit. With 29 countries represented, it was a melting pot of nationalities staging in the Cruise Terminal, where riders warmed up before the races. Additionally the number of competitors in the women’s field more than doubled from last year, boasting a healthy 79 racers registered.
Like last year, multiple qualifying heats during the day were used to advance and place racers in the two feature races later that night. The men’s field had a new addition of the “Last Chance” race. The “Last Chance” race was a 14 lap crit with the top 10 finishers were added to the feature race.
At the end of the night, Ivan Ravaioli and Ainara Arteaga took home the win, the medals, the custom RHC Cinelli track bike, and the glory.

Mash SF: Dylan on California Street
Mash has been working on a few new projects and part of that is documenting track bikes being thrashed on the streets of SF. This shot of Dylan on California street is amazing. The lean, the composition and those tracks. If you’ve ever ridden down this particular strip of road in SF, you know how rad this is… Keep ripping, Dylan.

Bishop Bikes: Supersprint Track
Photos by Keith Trotta
I know we’ve been immersed in NAHBS this past week and everyone’s probably reaching their limit on amazing, custom handmade bicycles but this one needs some exposure. Chris Bishop’s latest track bike is nothing short of amazing. This Supersprint bike has Samson track ends and a clean fastback seat stay, accented by Todd Eroh’s paint. See more at the Bishop Flickr.

2015 NAHBS: Enduro Bearings 24mm Outboard Pista Crankset
One of the best new products I saw at NAHBS this year were these Enduro Bearings 24mm outboard pista cranks. You might ask why these somewhat simple looking cranks would have piqued my interest and guys like Trackosaurus Rex so much and the answer is easy: why not!?
Made in the USA, with 144bcd chainrings in the works as well, these outboard bearings and cranks will retail for approximately $800. Guess what? Road cranks are on the way! What’s old is new again, just way, way better.
In the meanwhile, follow Enduro Bearings‘ Facebook.

Stanridge Speed’s New Highstreet EVO Model
Inspired by the classic aero, low-pro frames of the 70’s and 80’s, the newest from Stanridge Speed cycles embodies experimental design with modern tubing and profiles. As a nod to the Cinelli Laser and other frames of that era, the Highstreet EVO track will be a new addition to the Stanridge line for 2015.
Stanridge will be making twelve EVOs in a small production run and while they will lack the triple triangles, they will include the head tube gusset and wild paintjob, all made using the same fabrication processes used by Columbus and Cinelli during the Laser era. Those interested in purchasing one of these unique frames may contact Stanridge Speed directly.
