Cadence’s spring collection usually comes in waves and just today, the first wave landed in stock. My personal favorite from the lineup is this chambray cycling cap, which will look great on and off the bike. Now I’m just waiting on the denim kit to drop… Come on guys, step to it! Check out the full lineup at Cadence.
Spend enough time in the woods and you’ll know to avoid this pesky plant at all costs. In Santa Cruz, California it’s everywhere, prompting Garrett from Strawfoot to design a new patch. Check out the Poison Oak cap at Strafoot!
‘Cross is here (obvs) and the Athletic once again has teamed up with the Richard Sachs Cyclocross Team on a small capsule collection. This year however, they’ve expanded into two caps, while reducing the sock offerings to two designs. I really like the Belgian cap offering!
Head to the Athletic to see the full collection.
Look, the cold months are approaching and a good Belgian-style ‘cross or road cap will do ya some good. Cadence welcomes winter with their new Contrary Caps. Made in the USA and available in three colors to match your kits of choice. Head over to Cadence for more information.
Support your local cap maker. That’s how Brooklyn’s Deluxe Cycles sees it anyway, which resulted in these Fifo-made reversible caps. In stock now at Deluxe.
It’s always great to see two brands you admire join forces, even if it’s for something as simple as a cycling cap. Cadence and Strava did just that, designing a cap that will pull a chord in both design geeks and diehard fanboys. Head over to Strava to pick one up.
This one’s too good to not give some love:
“A couple of years ago, Padraig, over at Red Kite Prayer, wrote a great paean to the cotton cycling cap. People have been asking if there would ever be a Richard Sachs cycling cap about as long as I’ve been building bicycles frames. It took me nearly 4 decades, but I finally am bringing a cycling cap to the market. And now I’m bringing another one.”
Pick one up for $22 at Richard Sachs.
One of our favorite shops in the Pacific Northwest has a new cycling cap in stock. Made by Double Darn in Portland, these caps feature the new Velo Cult logo and come in two sizes, medium or large. In stock now at Velo Cult.
Bike Jerks celebrates 10 years on the ‘net this year and to commemorate their decade online, they teamed up with Minneapolis cap maker Hammerbone on a small run of caps. There are only 25 available, so if you’re a fan, swoop asap. Head over to Bike Jerks for more.

This one’s been a long time coming! Our friends at Ringtail have finally launched their new web shop, which is stocked with their Breeze Breaker jacket, Breezer vest, Don Cherry cap and Pocket Trumpet cap. All of these products are made in the Los Angeles area, with details that are inspired by many of the rides you’ve read about on this site. While it might be a small initial launch, Ringtail is aspiring to become a great American-made cycling apparel brand.
Head over to Ringtail to see what’s up. If you see your size sold out in something you want, don’t fret there’s more stock coming next week.

Mash somehow landed collaborations with a few luxury brands, namely Comme Des Garcons, Chanel, Gucci and LV. They’re sure to sell out fast, so head over to Mash to see the collection.
Mesh ain’t limited to trucker hats. Check out these new mesh caps, offered by Cadence, featuring a breathable mesh, the perfect option for those forthcoming warm days. Available in color halftone or black, depending on your personal style. See more at Cadence.
Or maybe they’re Jailhouse Rock?
Cycling caps are both an icon of cycling and an incredibly functional piece of apparel. They shield the sun from your face, redirect sweat from your eyes and hide hat messy, mat of hair while at a cafe or a bar, post-ride.
Design and construction must go hand in hand when conceptualizing a product, regardless of simplicity. These Stinner Frameworks caps were designed by Team Dream Team, built by Pace in California and are one of the most carefully executed designs I’ve seen. All of the lines match up perfectly, something that isn’t illustrated accurately in Aaron’s product photos, so I took the liberty of documenting it myself.
I know this was a bit long-winded, but I like to take the time with products like this.
See more at Stinner Frameworks.
For spring, Cinelli has two new cap models available. The Strato Faster cap, featuring a halftone fade and the Caleido cap, with an all-over dot pattern. Head over to the Winged Store to shop.
Golden Saddle’s iconic caps are back in stock. Made in the USA by Pace, these are one of the most popular cycling caps to date in my opinion. Swoop one or the pair over at GSC.
A few people have emailed, asking where they can buy one of the CX Nats 2015 caps that have appeared in a few galleries on the site. Well, Gary at Rothera Cycling just posted them online, but they won’t last long… Swoop now and save a heritage tree.
Cadence’s roots are in Seattle, so it would make sense that they would look to baseball cap manufacturer Ebbets to make their Abide wool caps. These high quality hats are made in Seattle, by hand and are in stock now at Cadence.
