Keep it 700c the Sun Ringlé MTX 33 Rim Give-Away
After I pulled a mean April Fool’s joke on my readers, Sun Ringlé offered to set up a legit give-away. While it’s not a complete wheelset, it’ll get you rolling again. I’ve ridden a ton of rims and banged them up over time. While no 700c rim is bomb-proof, there are some that are tougher than the rest. Since getting on the MTX33’s back in February, I’ve had great luck with them. So much luck that I’ma keep riding them. Now you can too. Some people like 26″ fixed and others like 700c fixed. This contest is for the 700c army out there!
The name of the game is simple. Post photos of your trashed 700c freestyle wheels and a story behind them. The more detail the better and if you’ve got photos of cuts / bruises acquired through riding, that’ll help. We wanna see how people are riding and what they’re doing to destroy their wheels. The most compelling story and photos win a set of 36h Black Non-machined MTX 33’s from Sun Ringlé.
PLEASE, I’ll be away from my computer tomorrow, so tag your HTML code with the Width=500 tag. If you don’t do it, I won’t approve the comment. It’s an easy task, just take your time posting. You’ve got a week, so don’t fret!

Chrome: My Foots Photo Contest
Chrome keeps rolling out the contests! Check out this one:
Chrome Announces MY FOOTS photo contest
San Francisco, CA, 4/28/2010 – Following up from their Turds For Gold promotion where Chrome shipped out over 5,000 pairs of free shoes all over the globe, they now want to see how folks will live in them. Between now and August 1st, take a photo of yourself in your new Chrome shoes and send it to myfoots@chromesf.com. The photo can document your daily life, be humorous or ridiculous. Most importantly, it should say something about you. In August, the Chrome staff will vote on the top four submissions. A staff member will then visit each of the finalists’ hometowns, hook them up with some Chrome goods and photograph them to be featured in a Chrome ad campaign later this year.
“We can’t wait to see what kinds of submissions we get,” says Chrome Marketing Director, Matt Sharkey. “This isn’t hollow market-research, this is us wanting a glimpse into the many different lives that make up the extended Chrome family.”
By submitting your photo to myfoots@chromesf.com, you grant the Chrome crew full permission to blast it all over the interweb, use it as a dartboard in the office, or for any other activity they do so choose. For any questions regarding the MY FOOTS photo contest, visit the Chrome Facebook Fan Page.

Prolly is not Probably: Photo Caption Contest 01 Winner
Here it is, the winner to the Prolly is not Probably: Photo Caption Contest 01. Talk about a tough decision! There were 70 entries in less than a day’s time. I even forgot to close out the comments before I went to bed, so 25 didn’t make the cut. After consulting a lot of my friends and some other people in the industry, we all came to the consensus that this one’s the winner. It’s too simple and too funny to overlook and even though there were some really awesome entries, we all agreed, this one took the cake.
Victor, you’re one funny dude. Shoot me an email and I’ll get you out a box asap! Oh and Macaframa, no hard feelings, right?
Everyone else that entered, thanks so much! Big ups to Chris and Jeff for emailing me the original photo!

Prolly is not Probably: Photo Caption Contest 01
Every once and a while something comes in across my inbox that just makes my day. Chris emailed this photo of his buddy Jeff doing a curb-endo on a dumpster. Well, more like a face-endo on a dumpster. I was originally going to just post it up with some witty caption underneath it but I figured I’d leave that up to you guys.
Leave a comment OR photoshop your entry and embed it in the comments section using the width=500 tag. If you want to do this, you can download a high-res version here. I’ll be more inclined to lean towards someone who photoshops their entry; hint hint. The best caption wins. What do you win? Whatever I can stuff into a flat-rate USPS box. I’ve got a mountain of stickers and other miscellaneous tidbits from sponsors sitting around. Not to be a pain, but US-addresses only.
Now… GO!
Edit: I’ll let this run through today and end it at Midnight Eastern Time.

Megabolt and Hold Fast Contest
Ok ok. This one’s for real. Steven runs a small company called Megabolt. While he was in NYC last week, he met Rob and Jeremiah from Hold Fast. The two guys offered to start a contest with Steven; offering up a pair of Hold Fast FRS to a lucky Megabolt customer. Here’s what Megabolt has to say about it:
The amazingly nice guys at Hold Fast have donated a pair of their foot retention straps to Megabolt to give away! It’s insanely easy to enter to win these straps. All you have to do is purchase a shirt on this page and you’ll automatically be entered. We are only selling 20 shirts for this contest so you have pretty good odds. Shirts will be shipped out the week of April 6th and the winner will be announced April 5th. On top of that you’ll be getting a high quality American Apparel V-neck for only $8 and you can feel good knowing that all profit of all Megabolt items are donated to charity.

Prolly is Not Probably: Sun Ringlé & Profile Fixed Wheelset Giveaway
I have no issues admitting when I was wrong, or when I was too quick to judge something. Yesterday I got a box from Sun Ringlé and Profile Fixed once again. This time, it had MTX 33’s in 26″. After riding around for a brief while, I’ve decided to go with 26″ wheels. I spoke to Sun and Profile and asked them if it was OK to do this and they’re fine with it. Now’s your chance to win my old wheelset (pictured above). Both wheels are 100% true and tensioned, the tires are fairly new and they’re ready to roll. All you have to do is enter the contest by:
-Take a photo of your taco’d or trashed 700c wheels.
-Post the photo in the comments.
-Make sure your photo is tagged with “width=500”.
-Winner will be picked today.
Now GO!
