I’ve got a dozen or pairs of the DZR Strauss SPD sneakers to give away. What better way to do it than to run a contest? That’s right, you can win a pair of these $110 sneakers by simply taking a photo. A photo of what you ask?

DZR Shoes gained quite the buzz this year at Interbike and after their collaboration with Mission Workshop on their Rondel SPD sneakers, the company’s been very busy placing orders. It’s important, even when you’re busy, to show appreciation for your fans. That’s why DZR decided to throw a little contest on their Facebook for their fans. Here are the details:
We want to get some shoes out to those who need/want them bad. So a little contest action is in order. Comment on this post explaining why you need to get clipped in to our kicks. Hint: we like to laugh, a lot. The contest runs through Wen. Night and the winner will be announced Thursday AM.
Winner will receive his/her …choice of shoes, US residents only, and you must “like” this page to enter to win. Good luck!

One of the hardest things about throwing a contest is having to turn down exceptional designs for even better ones. Chris Piascik is one of my favorite artists and turning down his entry to the Viking Hold Fast FRS Contest was tough! So Chris this is my way of making it up to you. I really do love it!
Check out Chris’ thoughts on how much he hates me now, here!
Artwork by Jackson Armstrong
Talk about a tough decision. I think this is hands down the most successful contest I’ve ever thrown! We all saw Jackson Armstrong’s process video for his entry and everyone kept asking to see the final image. Well, here it is, in all its glory. The shear detail of this piece is mind-numbing! I can’t imaging the effort and time that went into it.
Jackson, you win 1st place which includes a set of Viking Hold Fast FRS straps, some stickers and a Viking New Era when they come in. Also included in your winning entry is a month of free exposure with a link to your portfolio site at the top of my sidebar. In addition, I’m going to try to work out a shirt deal with Jackson for this graphic! I’ll wear the hell out of it if everything goes as planned!
Read on below to see who won 2nd and 3rd.
Let’s just say when this came into my inbox last night, my jaw dropped. Jackson Armstrong‘s submission to the Viking Hold Fast FRS contest is ridiculous! Would you look at that? He’s just raised the bar. Still, more entries are trickling in. You guys have till Friday so God Luck and Good Speed.
Artwork by Will Baker
Behold, the NECRONOMICOG! Will Baker’s submission is one of my favorites. There’s been some real winners posted so far in the Viking Hold Fast FRS Contest. Are you working on one? Check out the comment thread for some of the submissions.
Artwork by Kyle Sauter
This image serves as a reminder to everyone that the Viking Hold Fast FRS Contest is still under way! Kyle’s submission is one of my favorites but Greg’s work is also killer. So far there’s been some great emails coming in so use this weekend to crank out some more artwork. Here’s a hint, I like creativity! You can do woodblock prints, animated GIFS, 3D models. Anything, just make it rad!
You’ve got through next week to submit something. I’m beyond stoked on the outcome so far.

Prolly is not Probably Contest: Viking Hold Fast FRS
When Jeremiah and I were breaking toe clips constantly last year, we decided it was time for a change. I remember when he came to ride one day with a new strap system. He handed me one, I tried it out and was blown away at how such a simple design changed our riding. Multiple prototypes later and Hold Fast was born. Fast forward to the present. Multiple companies have tried to make a similar design but I’ll only ride Hold Fast.
That’s the loyalty Jeremiah and Rob dig and to show their appreciation, they made me three pairs of Viking FRS. Because I love you guys, I’m giving them away to my readers. In the form of a contest.
Read on to see how you can win below.
It’s safe to say that the Polo world is as tightly-knit, if not more as the fixed freestyle world. When polo players need help, the world seems to come together to lend a helping hand. Some of the guys from the MKE Polo squad need help getting to Berlin for the Polo Worlds. Check out the MKE Blog for all the information on how you can help through a fundraiser!
